In the world of TR collecting $1500 isn't all that much. I've seen and sold photos for more. Perhaps there are a lot of photos of Hitler, I'm sure their are. How much would a photo of Hitler on top of a Tiger tank wearing a helmet be worth? Still $150? How about an unknown photo right after the bomb blast of 1944? Still $150? How about a photo of him inside the bunker? My point is, they don't all fit in the same box with the same narrow range in values. It's how uncommon the image itself is, and how much a potential buyer is willing to pay for that uncommon image. And the price the owner is willing to take to part with that uncommon image and hope it doesn't end up on the cover of a book someday.

I do thank every person who has commented on this thread even if I don't agree with him.

There's an easy way to settle this argument. Any seller would be glad to double their money on an item. So, perhaps you can post a few samples of photos that you have bought for $600 - $800. Are you currently buying?

And, of course, time will soon tell if the market is at $1500 for this photo. If it is, I'm betting there will be a flood of supply hitting the market very quickly.
