The National Socialist Pavilion built near the Eiffel Tower for the 1937 International Exposition of Art and Technology in Modern Life. I believe it was designed by Albert Speer and it stood directly across the square from the Soviet Pavilion.

I agree with Bern -- this was one of the most spectacular buildings/displays erected for the 1937 International Exposition in Paris; it was designed by Speer and topped off with a Hoheitsadler by Prof. Kurt Schmid-Ehmen. Google "1937 International Exposition" and you'll find other pix of this exhibit, as well as maps and a lot of info.

      Cheers,

I assume that the Hoheitsadler atop the German Pavilion was shipped back to Germany at the end of the Exposition, but does anyone know what happened to that HUGE statue the crowned the Soviet Exhibit? Perhaps sent back to Moscow, or...??
