Is there any image on the cover? I’m guessing not since it’s from 1923. I can’t see it being worth more than 75 to 80$ . -
The VB expanded from a weekly publication to a daily in February of 1923, so the news covered in each issue during those early days of the NSDAP would probably not have been very significant. The function of the VB, of course, was as political propaganda, not as a true news coverage vehicle, in order to bring the opinions of the major Nazi leadership to the attention of its readership on a more constant basis. That said, commentary on any important events in that particular edition might be worthy of a higher collector value...depending on what those events were.

Hi and thanks for the info. I assumed (perhaps wrongly) that since it was published 6 months before Hitler`s imprisonment and the abolition of the party many examples would have become toilet paper or simply thrown away. I`m not implying it`s a rare edition just simply supposing there may not be so many surviving examples. Roland.Comment

Hi again, no there are no images on the front only party propaganda and a note from Hitler thanking all his friends for their best wishes for his birthday. Interestingly there is a bit inside referring to the book Oliver Twist describing how Jews use children to steal for them etc. Roland.Comment
