You could be right after all. The 1939 Stellenbesetzung shows Kentel as Kp-Chef of 4.Kp, not 1.Kp. Schulz is indeed listed for 1.Kp.

      thanks again.

think i might start a thread just for this doc as it would appear this is a rare signature to find. no idea if it's good or not but hopefully others will be able to help.

it was just part of the grouping, a bit tatty and had no significance to it for me.

      cheers, del.

        Hello glock26 !

        Two small remarks :
        1) In my oppinion, hucks216 is one of the most knowledgeable experts on this forum. I can only assume,
that the bit of confusion was caused by a misread of a 4 with a 1.

        2) As you asked: what is a "Stellenbesetzung", here is the example for Pz.Rgt. 25 end of 1938. These can
often be very helpful. (It also shows how similar both digits look at first glance).

        Best regards,

        Archi

          thanks Archi.

i appreciate all the help from hucks216 and yourself. i have very little knowledge of these things so all information is welcome.

i started another thread about the Schulz signature:

          http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=983155

the doc just came with the group, so it might be a lucky find if it IS signed by Adelbert Schulz.

from a quick search it would appear he was one of 27 awarded the RK with oaks/swords and diamonds.

          is that correct?

          cheers, del.
