One of my grand uncles who was with the LAH always told me that while they were in Metz and Paris that their Officer who was fluent in french would tell them every day to resist the beautiful french girls and how with a snap of their fingers they could easily have the soldiers "um den finger gewickelt".
Which literally means "have the soldiers wrapped around their fingers" á la seduced them.
And as someone who is german and ended up marrying a french girl from Metz i understand why they had to be reminded haha

Oh La La : The story

              Hi guys,

Here is the story... Between the 27 of september and the 19th of october 1941, an exhibition was thrown in Paris in a Art Gallery, 83 rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré in the 8th district, not far from French Président Résidence, l'Élysée. It was called "KUNSTAUSSTELLUNG DER DEUTSCHEN WEHRMACHT", "Art Exhibition of the german Army".
This exhibition presents 250 pieces like paintings, sculptures, drawings, made by soldiers in order to express their view of Paris and France as artists under the uniform, and through artists eyes in an occupied countrythe war. All the works are for sale. The price of these drawings is 1 RM or 20 francs.
"Oh La La" from G.SCHMITZ is one of them, marked "Z"( Zeichnung) and is made of 6 different draws in French in the text: Je ne comprends pas (I don't understand), Oh-là-là ( wow ), Grand filou ( naughty boy), Sans ticket ( No ticket ), Urlaub (short vacation), Abschied (farewell ).
