Why were german Propaganda Magazines also printed in English ?


Hi guys.
I just bouth a nice period war time english version of a 1942 Der Adler propaganda magazine.


My simple question is, why did the germans go to all the bother to make a english version of these magazines ?

Hi,

like i usually says, Germany lost the war due to the amazing amount of printed material...

If only a very few small-sized Signal magazines were sent to the UK by the V1, many (to many like you said) magazines and also books were published in English.
They were made available for neutral countries (in Europe and elsewhere), even if those were not speaking English. Some were of course delivered to the captured British Islands near France.
I suspect that many were delivered to India and Asia, in which English was used a lot due to the Commonwealth, and in which the "situation" (politically and military speaking) of the Allied forces was not that good for most of the war.

And you have to remember that from fall 1939 up to December 1941, the USA were considered as a neutral country.
