Uboat Capt. Hauber Internment Document - Help

    Hi All,
Thought some of you might find this interesting and/ or could possibly please help clarify what it is. Through translating and research so far:

From the Ministry for Political Liberation which helped process the POW/ internment camps post war. Also has an "Amnesty Processing" stamp. Was sent to U-170 commander Hans-Gerold Hauber in 1947 five months after his release.

    - It appears that the court (government) is giving him a cash bonus of 1300 RM
    - But 27300 RM are still in contention?

Is this a payout after his internment for monies owed? Like spending cash we give to prisoners upon release. Or is he suing them for an amount he thinks they owe him?

    Any help appreciated! Thanks, Justin

His atonement payment ("sin offering") only 1.300,-- RM (Reichsmark). You could say this was

his penalty payment because he was member of the NSDAP from 1938 - 1945,

SA-Marine (Rank: Rottenführer) 1934 - 1945 and member of the DAF (Deutsche Arbeits Front)

    1935 - 1945

Streitwert (amount is dispute) of his trial: 27.300,00 RM. This was a fictional sum.

He was only asentenced fo being a "Mitläufer" (follower).
