    Gebirgsjager: General, Major, Hauptman.

What I find interesting about this photo are the following facts. The major has only one award an EK2 ribbon, using my high end magnifying glass. I could not find loops for a medal ribbon , or loops for awards on his left pocket. The final issue about the Major his uniform has no french cuffs . Also the lowest officer present is an older man , perhaps he served with General before.

The Hauptman is obviously a member of the warrior class: His next award might be the RK. Excellent photo in my opinion.

    Peter.

The major’s tunic is an issue EM one converted into an officer’s and therefore would not have French cuffs.
