I just recieved this picture, I think that it looks a lot like Hugo Krass( or pehaps one of his brothers), may I get some other opinions? Thanks

Hugo-Gottfried Kraas was an SS-Obersturmfuhrer from 20.04.1939 - 01.09.1940, then SS-Hstuf., and this photo was probably taken in 1940. Also, doesn't quite look like him, but it might be his brother, Boris (later RK recipient with "Totenkopf"), provided that's a Totenkopf on his right collar patch; he was commissioned SS-Untersturmführer on 20.04.1939 and promoted to SS-Obersturmführer on 09.11.1940.

See http://das-ritterkreuz.de/index_sear...archword=Kraas for a photo of Kraas.

    Whoever it is, great photo!

    Best wishes,
    ~ Mike

Comparing the two photos, I think it's a match! Looks like you have a picture of Boris Kraas here.

Here's a little data on him.

        Thank You Michael

Michael, wasn't there another Kraas brother or two?

Yes, but the other two brothers were a Heer (+ DKiG recipient) and Luftwaffe officer.
