Himmler Signature - Promotion Document

Hey guys, I've ran into this document with Himmler's signature on it. Any ideas on whether it seems authentic and what do you think a fair price for it would be?

Most things on it check out, hence I'm actually torn. If it's not authentic in your opinion, what leads you to believe that?

You do present a straight-forward question when you ask: "If it's not authentic in your opinion, what leads you to believe that?" I believe Max History has responded that, in his estimation, the autograph document you present is an obvious forgery, and that is a major function of this Forum -- to provide responses and opinions based upon the experience of each member here, often entailing decades of serious study. Knowing that, we also understand that Forums such as WAF are a prime source of detailed information for those who seek to create and produce fraudulent "artifacts" which deceive many collectors and which garner serious amounts of income for the forgers...those who prey upon us and our hobby for their own benefit. So, while Max has given his response understood to be a "thumbs-down" opinion of the piece you present, providing further detail as to exactly why he believes this piece to be fake would undoubtedly benefit the forgers who wait for exactly those sorts of answers in order to continue to refine their "products." And Max History wishes to protect our hobby from such criminals, as we all do.

A sincere thank you to both Max and James. I do apologize about my ignorance. I'm a relatively new collector and I've trying to learn as much as I can about identifying fakes. I appreciate the brevity and the time you took to explain your way of thinking. I will keep this in mind.

Thanks so much for your good response, and please be assured that no one here wants or expects your apology for "ignorance!" As a new collector, you need to ask questions in order to have a basis for understanding such a complex and detailed hobby as ours is! And I will say right now that, in all of my decades of study and collecting, I have never stopped asking questions! There is always someone out there who is more knowledgeable and experienced in a particular facet of our hobby than I am, and I want to learn more, even after being at it for so long. Perhaps the main thing that I have learned in all these years is to admit that I don't know everything about ANY subject...and that is quite an admission to make!

These forums exist to bring many collectors and history students together in order to answer questions when they are able to do so. So I can say with a degree of assurance that I will continue to ask questions here, and I hope you will do the same! We should expect that of each other...without apology!
