Hello,
I have in my collection this photo, which shows a german general, who awards decorations to soldiers:
I suppose that the general on this photo is general Ludwig Kübler. But I'm not sure. Why? General Kübler was general of mountain troops. But there is no edelweiss insignia on his cap. On his cap there is only somekind of pin in the shape of a shield.
But on the otherside the soldiers on this photo are mountain troops soldiers:
1. the soldiers wore mountain boots (left lower corner)
2. the far right officer wore the edelweiss patch on the right sleve of his blouse.
What do you think? Who is this general?
I will be grateful for any opinion. Thanks, Sebastijan
