Not a child. Was from a soldiers photo album with other photos of soldiers. They loved taking pictures of each other nude. Perhaps still do? They would take a picture like this and show it to their friends as a joke. There are tons of photos of soldiers defecating and urinating. Just be glad I censored this pic with the help of Canadian PM Justin Trudeau lol! Toilet humor!

Hi BlackWatch1,

I would not worry about this photo being "inappropriate" as many photo groupings and albums of the time have very similar themes.
All groupings/albums I have contain photos of soldiers sitting on the toilet with their trousers round there ankles, so toilet humour was totally appropriate at the time.
Literally ALL albums and photo groupings I have have photos like this, as well as the shortest and tallest soldiers in the company pictured together.
What is deemed as inappropriate now was not thought of like this at the time.

I think you seem to be missing the point John.

Of course things like this were not inappropriate back then, neither was hanging black men from trees or throwing Christians to Lions!

Yes, we've all seen the type of photos you describe but this photo isn't military guys messing about taking pictures of each other having a sh*t or parading around with their knobs out! This is a picture of little Norbert bending over and displaying his rusty sheriffs badge to one and all and in my opinion is rather inappropriate on a militaria collectors forum.

Don't give a fat rats arse or a fishes tit what other forum members think but I for one do not want to be associated with a forum that displays children in this manner.

As collectors of Nazi memorabilia we already face unnecessary criticism for being some kind 'sick weirdo' and by condoning the posting of such imagery is just giving more ammunition to those people who want to run us out of of town.

At least BlackWatch1 had the common sense to censor the image.
