I found this photo of the capture of two german soldier
The helmets appear wire covered can anyone id there unit
The British soldiers are sgt mackenzie and Pte Douglas who is holding the mp40

I agree with Nick, both helmets appear to have chicken wire attached to them.
Can you provide a clearer image of the soldier on the right of the image Nick?

The photo was taken by a Norwegian soldier Pte l a ostergaard who was serving in the seaforth highlanders
He was living in st Neots Huntingdonshire with his father before he enlisted

Do you know the first names or initials of Mackenzie and Douglas? If they were also with the Seaforth, then you might be able to find their service records within the Highlanders unit history. Unfortunately, Ostergaard is not listed.

Ostergaard wound letter and transfer letter to the army reserve
The Eisenhower d day letter was also in the album
