different glider badges in wear

Hello,


The purpose of this thread is to show 3 different glider pilots badges in wear , these wil be :

* the normal glider pilot badge issue ( as awarded )
* the large eagle issue ( = privatly purchase )
* the cloth enlisted version pilot badge

There is alot of controverse wheter the large eagle variant was actually wartime produced and worn, these picture series wil proove that they did actually exist ( another issue is however if al the large eagle issue glider pilots badges offered for sale by various dealers are original !!!! ) .

The pictures will follow as said before , i have seen one other picture in the past from a fellow moderator who also proves the actual existance of the large eagle variant badge , and hopefully our friend wil join us

as promised here is a picture where one can clearely see the normal glider pilots badge issue being worn , note the relatively thin and delicate eagle , the angle on wich this eagle is attached towards the wreath, etc ...

Here is the picture of the large eagle variant badge in wear , a close up wil follow => see the clear differences in eagle ( much bigger , the wreath, etc ... )

note : All pictures are from the same serie and where taken during 1942 in a training course for glider pilots and attached personal from the L.L.G.2 ( in Hagenau )

Here is a try to get a larger vieuw on this cloth badge , the badge is somehow a little hidden behind the persons ear, etc ... => note also the civil C profiency badge .
