I'm learning something new today - were scalloped litzen ever found outside of the general staff or were they pretty much exclusive?

Great photos, esp. the black panzer wrap. I've only seen a handful with any kind of litzen on them at all.

I am surprised, all of the photos of Witthoft I had seen before had a cleft chin, as this one found on the internet. The one which stonemint added is very obviously without. Early Photoshop? Could someone please add more portraits, as I said, I am confused.
