Order of the german eagle 3rd class document for review.

Hi guys , should I got through with this purchase?

Well, better pictures would help. And since you've given us zero idea how much the seller is asking ($1.00? $10,000.00?), what the terms are (returns allowed? or done deal?) and perhaps who the seller is (trustworthy? private person? known con-man?), there's no way to say "yes" or "no" at this point.

Help us to help you - give us details.

Thanks Hank, my apologies, it's from the collectors guild and he's asking 1300US unfortunately these are the best pics I can get.

        No worries.

On the plus side, The Collectors Guild is a well-known dealer, I don't think you'll have any concerns there.

Their prices do tend to be on the high side, so it's up to you on the $1300. These sort of docs aren't as common as things like EK's or KVK's. Depends how bad you want it, if it's going to fill a critical hole in your collection.

....and in this case, I would greatly consider Peter's advice, as he has far more knowledge than I do on this sort of thing.

How come? Too expensive? Or you think it could be fake? I have herd that this guy has sold fakes before but I have seen the examples and they are blatantly obvious. I had already placed a down payment on the item before I knew about WAF so I'm already committed but I'm sure I could just ask for an item that's worth what I have put in. Any advice? Thanks again in advance for the help.

It's not possible to establish originality based on these images, the embossed eagle isn't even visible. Provided the set is legit (which it probably is), the asked price is IMHO a laugh. Btw, the blank certificate in Spanish is for a 3rd class, but the actual award cetificate is for a Verdienstmedaille.

                  cheers

Thank you very much! I never even realized that it was for 2 completely different medals!!
