    Mein Kampf

Yes this is a Mein Kampf's Wedding Edition (Hochzeitsausgabe).
Wedding editions were specially made bindings in black half leather and were imprinted with the City State's symbol on the cover. They had a special printed page inside to fill in with the newlyweds names, date, and signature from the Burgomeister or Mayor who was presenting it to the new couple as a wedding gift from the State.

While most commonly used for weddings, this edition could be used for other presentations as well. The actual name was Sonderausgabe Buergermeister, or special edition for Buergermeisters, and the Buergermeisters could use it for other purposes. Cities could order them with the city crest on the cover and the dedication page for the specific city, or smaller towns often ordered "generic" versions in which they filled in the town's name on the dedication page. This edition came in a slip case; the slip case was good quality gray cardboard in pre-war days, but in later days the slipcase was rough cardboard, and sometimes had the "Sonderausgabe Buergermeister" label stamped on.

Here is a later slipcase from a 1942 example.

      Best,
      Greg

The 1942 example above has a "generic" dedication page. While the date and Buergermeister's signature (actually a town official signing for the mayor) are already completed, the town (Gemeinde) name and the couple's names have not been filled in.

A 1936 example from Magdeburg, with the earlier cardboard slip case (like what yours would have come in).
