Hello !

Thanks for sharing this interesting (and obviuously rare) catalogue !

From reading the title and the descriptions, I would think that this catalogue lists various trophies,
that would be awarded to winners of certain competitions.
There also seem to be specific trophies for all branches of the Heer (e.g. infantry,
arty, cavallery, engineers, tanks etc. )

Is it possible to say for which kind of competitions these were intended ?

To be more precise, I would like to ask :
a) were these to aknowledge the winners some kind of official competitions,
e.g. for the most accurate rifle shooter, handgrenade thrower etc...,
and if so, at what level were these competitions organized (battalion, regiment, division ?).
Or could those be ordered by any unit, that wanted organize any kind of competition on its own ?

b) would the achievement in some of these competitions (e.g. beeing 1st, 2nd, 3rd ...)
result in an entry in the Wehrpass (e.g. under Abzeichen (p. 21) or somewhere else) ?

c) I found some entries in Wehrpasses, like :
- Schiessauszeichnung (Silber) Heer
or for Arty :
- III. Preis im Preisrichten (397,4 Punkte)
- Richtabzeichen
Are these for taking part in those kind of competitions and would those entries result in receiving
one of the trophies shown in this catalogue or is it something different ?
