the prices for single photos are rising and rising, not just technical photos, and i think it will still rise.

but i guess thats is the market at the moment.

Why are those pics so expensive? They dont seem to be showing anything unique?

What is the definition of an "original" picture, since in my opinion, only the film is original.

There are some rich Messerschmitt freaks out there
Sometimes I pay too much for a photo if it is one from my own village for example, as there are some other collectors here also buying all those. But I don't think I'll ever cross the 100$ limit for a normal private photo.

Nothing unique about the photos Jean. Besides film there are original period photos as well. Even if they were photos produced before 1945 there is only one smile for the prices though... Just more of the ridiculous.

those auctions are ridiculusly overbid IMO...but that is the way of things. A fool and his money are soon parted..

                  Gentlemen,
I have talked before about these 109 pictures, unpublished good quality shrap pictures of 109's are not easy to find!! This one is exceptionally nice. A good 109F with a rarer paint scheme on it, a very handsome aircraft. A $500 price tag is about right imho, you will not find one slike this cheaper!!
                  All the best

Holy cow! Those are some expensive pics!

I have noticed recently how the prices on German eCrap is getting higher and higher compared to the other eCraps. Oh well, someone must have a boat load of money to burn.

I'm so glad I started collecting photos 16 years ago while stationed in Germany. The prices I see being paid for single photos is absolutely mind boggling. I can understand hard to find groupings but as I have said before things have gotten out of hand. Photos were one of the last frontiers and it seems like that is coming to an end. It was only a matter of time. They are still cheaper compared to buying that FJ helmet or smock. Bill

Whats your guys take on propaganda photo's (PK)?

I have started collecting these and they go for about $40-50 a pop.
