    Befristeter Ausweis Paris

Soldiers stationed near cities could receive a pass to visit the city.

The rear of the pass (Befristeter Ausweis) included information concerning curfew hours for different ranks and a stamp of the hotel the soldier stayed at.

This specific ausweis was issued to a Soldier in the vicinity of Paris.

I found this information dealing with a German veterinarian named Johannes Stoebener, born

            1894 in Bonn. During WW1 (1917 - 1918) he was a military veterenarian in a German military

hospital for horses in Brussels and Liège. Later in private life he praticed in Ziegenhain (Hessen)

            near Kassel as a veterenaria.

May be this is your guy.

St James is a nice hotel still on duty rue de rival not far from Hotel Meurice where Commandant of Gross-paris was staying.
