    Early IAB Doc.

    Hi Guys,

Keep telling myself that I don't collect documents but lately it's getting ever more difficult for me not to look at them.

Somehow I always remembered this thread about early award dates on IAB doc's:

    http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...ht=early+award

So when I recently stumbled over this little grouping the early award date on the IAB document (25/07/1940) caught my eye. Today the little grouping arrived and I must admit I'm very happy with it.

Both the IAB and the EK II feature wonderfull handwritting (Name, unit, place, date, rank) and it's obvious that these document were drawn up in the glory days of the German army's conquest of Europe.

Hope You like them as much as I do

    KR
    Philippe

PS: would appreciate any info on the officers who signed these docs.

And the Ost-medal, doc. Nothing special but since they belong together I post it anyway.

Well, I know this is wrong, but I'm going to post it anyway:

        Nice documents!

          Hi Hankmeister,

Well wrong or not Txs for your reaction. I thought this was a little bit special but I guess amongst document collectors this probably is so common that they use it as gift paper

wow, that is early. Very nice little GJ grouping Philippe

It's interesting to note that the commander of the 11 Kompanie was awarded the RK on the 29.09.1940 for his actions in France. Hauptmann Hans Daumiller.

Let's see. Sigs. The EKII is of course signed by Ludwig Kübler, himself only the 9th recipient of the RK.

The IAB is signed by Egbert Martin Picker (RK, 18.11.1941) later Generalleutnant.
Collecting German award documents, other paperwork and photos relating to Norway and Finland.
