Demelhuber signature....

Hi Guys,

I have this EKII urkunde signed by Demelhuber.

But it is signed "SS-Brigadeführer" on the 30. september 1941 but as I understand he was promoted to that rank on november 9th that year..!.???..

I am missing somehting or do I care too much..?..I do not have any reason to believe that the document should be a fake...but, you never know...

Dear Hans,

IMHO there is nothing to worry about (but that is just my opinion).

Award documents were signed after the date on the award.

Yes, the date could very well be the date of the initial Vorschlagsliste and the document was signed in November.

Thanks for the input guys, so I understand the situation so that the officer would be recommended for a EKII in september and it would be accepted some, even months, later..?..

Mike thanks a lot, fits with his boss being killed - Kurt Grabow, here the photo of the grave.
Interesting though, on the cross it says 2/7 but on the back he (Delner) writes 1/7...which would be correct..?..
