Going through my photos, I have been thinking of reorganizing them. I was wondering, how do you guys organize your photos? By branch of service? (ie Heer, LW, KM, SS) By type? (ie portraits, unit photos, training photos, personal photos). A combination of the above? Other organization? What have you found to be the best order to organize them so you can easily find what you're looking for?

Hi Brig,
I imagine every collector catalogues there photos in different ways, I display mine in themed (by organisation, i.e. Daf, Heer, Hj etc) binders along with postcards, cloth insignia, propaganda photos, passes, letters etc.
Firstly, I print off details of a particular organisation from Wikepedia to compliment the photographs.
For instance, looking through my DAF album, I start with personalities, pics of Robert Ley etc, then photos of 1st of May marches in chronological order, sporting activities, Work related marches, floats on marches, groups of workers for various manufacturing companies, DAF schools, Pics of factories set up for DAF meetings.
Then photos of shops with pictures of propaganda, DAF uniforms, pics of long service award ceremonies.
Each album is different, you need to research TR history to produce an album which is individual to each organisation and is chronilogcal.
I also never break up groupings which are to one person, keeping them in personal albums.
each album is unique, dealing in chronologicial order with a TR organisation

I do very similar in mine...by organization, then start with studio portraits, portrait poses outside studios, and then personal photos. I, too, try to organize them sequentially.
Lately I've decided to refine my focus, as there are just so many images out there, and pulled a whole bunch of personal images from my albums that I will be moving on here in the next couple months.
