Strange Vehicle ?????

Hey guys,
I came across this picture sometime ago. I know
the Wehrmacht pressed local and captured vehicles
into service, but what the heck is this odd contraption ?
There appears to be a few in this photo. I've also
provided a shot of the back if anyone can translate the
written description.

Hello Panzerfuhrer,

The vehicle is a wheel-cum-track carrier called a ADMK/WARK. The base vehicle was an ex-Austrian Austro Daimler ADMK a number of which which were rebodied for use by the Wehrmacht. In this form it could carry up to seven soldiers or 570kg of cargo including the crew. The drawbar pull was one ton. The bulk of the vehicles were used by mountain troops. The wheels were used primarily on the road, but could be swung up out of the way to allow use of the tracks on more difficult terrain.

A big thank you for the excellent information.
As I looked closer at the picture I can now see
a sleeve edelweiss on the uniform of the soldier
on the left, that should have been a clue . I
unfortunately didn't pick up on that. The side
view definitely gives a better understanding of
the uniqueness of the vehicles capability. Maybe
someday I can see one up close.
