US press photos frequently present normal Wehrmacht troops as "SS", either because the person writing the description on the back didn´t know better or to make the action appear tougher than it was (SS troops were considered better soldiers than Wehrmacht, so killing them gave more credits to the US troops). I think I have another example somewhere, if I find it I´ll post it later.

    In my opinion there is no reliable evidence the three dead Germans are SS.

          These two Wehrmacht soldiers captured in the Ardennes were declared SS as well, which they are clearly not...

            Wow look at that tunic! So many details in that photo on 24 Jan 45. Yup not SS.

              Very sad considering that fact that these men were just used as an instrument of war. My heart goes out to those who fought for their country at the time no matter what side they were on. Martin.
