    Looks like a nice Norway related award to a pionier with 163. ID.

    Cross should be unmarked.

          Bad photo but here's another to the same division for comparison.

          The rather strange unit designation is due to the 1./Pi.Btl.234 being used to form part of Pi.Btl.199 of the newly raised 199 Inf.Div.

            Thank you for showing your document. I did not know that Lillehammer was so critical at war! Can you see if its Erwin's signature?

              Lillehammer wasn't critical in combat but it does have a strategic position, it is and was also an important garrison location.

              The map is from December 1940 and as you will see both the HQ for the 163 Inf.Div. and Pi.btl.234 were located there.
