Geilenberg Appointment

I think this is a pretty interesting item compared to all the garden variety military promotions typically seen. This guy was in charge of an interesting special initiative to decentralize fuel production that left some impressive caves in Germany.

I agree: a very impressive item! An original Hitler signature with the Seal of State, bearing the endorsements of both Albert Speer and Dr. Hans Heinrich Lammers, Chief of the Reichschancellery. Now that's a keeper!

I believe he was also responsible for the design of the "Salzgitter-Geilenberg" type of air raid shelter bunker, often found around industrial sites.
