    SS Stamp and RZM tag

    Came across these today.

The tag that says "Vom Reichsführer SS..." is small. About the size of my pinkie tip.

The 'stamp' looks fake to me as in person it doesn't seem to have the feel of a real stamp. There is a pin-hole above the eagle's head where someone had it pinned to a wall or something.

I'm wondering what your opinions are and what the small SS tag is in particular if you have any idea.

    Thanks in advance.

Both of these pieces appear to be clippings from larger documents. The piece on the left translates to: "Order executed by the Reichsführer-SS" and was probably stamped onto a document detailing a command or instruction received by the SS leadership from the RZM Office in Munich.

While "clipping" signatures, letterheads, rubber-stampings and other features found on TR documents was apparently popular during and after WWII among GIs who wanted to collect impressive or important-looking pieces but didn't have much space to carry and store them, today such pieces are of lesser value. One really needs to see the whole document -- the letter, certificate, statement or whatever -- in order to capture the reality of the piece.

Hope this is helpful to you.

Thank you. I believe the tag is something that would have been on the back of an item, like insignia. It has the RZM stamp and that would imply it was a tag on an item of manufacture.

        Agree with everything you said.

I stay away from SS stuff because of the fakes...but I picked up these two small items for 5 Euro so I figured for the cost of 2 beers I could afford to have at least one SS item. lol

Could be related with a textile item, no document:
