Killed SA men Wöhrden 1929 - graphic

Found this little graphic but none the less very interesting grouping.

Contains the rare booklet "die Blutnacht von Wöhrden" from the NSDAP-Reichstagsfraktion 1929.

and 4 original very detailed and graphic photos of the 2 SA men killed in the fighting between SA troops and communists 7. März 1929 in Wöhrden, Dittmarschen

Obviously a knife attack.

Is it not the same man placed at rest and then during the post mortem?

Good question, Chrischa! Even though the text of this document gives the names of two different SA Men, all these photos do look like the same person in different postures! Perhaps there were additional photos -- of a different man -- with this piece that have since been lost?

Yes indeed, a very interesting grouping...and horrible to behold. This piece was produced by and for the NSDAP's Reichstag faction to be used against the much larger Communist Party faction in that body. (In 1929 the NSDAP faction in the Reichstag consisted of just 12 representatives while the KDP included 54 in it's faction.) And the result shows that such efforts as this had their desired effect: by the following year the NSDAP was the second largest party in the Reichstag -- 107 members -- while the KDP had only increased to 77.

I'm sure the KDP and its Roter Frontkämpferbund could and did show similar photos of their dead and injured Red Front members after similar altercations with the SA across Germany.
