http://imgur.com/a/lBcmTThis album I won at auction is a little different. I normally buy WWII America items but for some reason I looked at this one labeled PreWWII German as I like photo albums. What stood out to me was that I could make out the words Chicago and Detroit. I was wondering if anyone could give me info on this album?

Stahlhelm in America 1931

Quite a wonderful album, Pip, displaying photos of a variety of right-wing neo-Nazi organizations here in the USA during the two decades between the World Wars. The Stahlhelm Bund was the largest of the WWI veterans' organizations in Germany and it had chapters all around the world...wherever German nationals lived abroad, including the USA. And the Teutonia Club was a precursor to the German-American Bund of the middle 1930s up until WWII began and such organizations became illegal.
May I suggest that you pick up a copy of "They too were Americans: The German-American Bund in Words, Photos and Artifacts," by Scott Freeland, James Bender Publishing, 2011 -- it will provide you with a great amount of background to all of these photos.
And the two photos of Franz Seldte and Theodor Duesterberg -- the co-founders of Die Stahlhelm, Bund der Frontsoldaten -- appear to be autographed.
