I posted a few close ups to show what I believe is offset printing and would be correct. Any experienced poster collectors that can confirm?

        Thank You,
        John

Thought I would post an update.

I sent the poster to nationally-recognized poster dealer and they confirmed the poster is original. Currently, it's been sent off to their conservator to be linen-backed. Once the poster is returned and I've had it framed, I will post a few pics of the finished product.

          Best,
          John

A classic poster, produced by one of the most prestigious NSDAP artists and illustrators: Elk Eber. Professor Wilhelm Emil (Elk) Eber (1892-1941), was a veteran of World War I and a devout and much-honored Nazi from the early days of the Party, holding First Issue Blood Order number 1206, which he qualified for while he was a member of Battalion Werdenfels of the Bund Oberland. Eber obviously maintained a personal interest in the ‘cult of 8/9 November 1923’ throughout his brief lifetime. Beginning in 1931, Eber worked as an illustrator for National Socialist publications such as the "Völkischer Beobachter" and "Der SA-Mann." He received the honorary title of “Professor” as bestowed by Hitler himself. His work was much reproduced, usually featuring the glorification of soldiers, National Socialism and the heroic Aryan race. He was a very early member of the NSDAP, having joined on 6 July 1925 and receiving Membership Number 9307 – though he was apparently never bestowed with the Golden Party Badge. While Eber was allowed to maintain his original Party Membership Number, he did not qualify to receive the GPB due to his having traveled to the USA a number of times in the late 1920s and early ‘30s, where he produced some fine paintings of Native American life...which is also probably where his nickname, "Elk," dreives from. Eber may have failed to maintain his dues during those trips to the USA and was found to be unqualified for the GPB due to not having paid his dues continuously from his membership date onward. Eber died of tuberculosis at just 49 years of age.

              John ,

The poster shouldn't cost more than a couple hundred to be linen backed and restored... Don't let them try and screw you on pricing!!!

As Br.James has already stated, this poster is indeed by Emil 'Elk' Eber.

This one is an original and I myself have had two in my collection, although
currently only have this one. (I currently have it framed).

Not what I would call a rare poster as I have seen probably 10-15 of these for sale in the past 5 years or so and would
not be paying much over $500 for one even in decent condition.

There are numerous fakes of these floating about but they all seem to lack the artists signature 'ELK' to the top right,
have the image cropped slightly and also lack the printers details along the bottom.

These were printed by numerous different printing firms as I have seen quite a few and all with differing printers details.

                Emil 'Elk' Eber.
