Bombing of Rotterdam album - URGENT

    WAF members,

I need your urgent help with the following... I have found an album of eBay containing photographs that could have been taken in Rotterdam. Unfortunately, I am unable to post photos on this site, so I am posting the link:

    http://www.ebay.de/itm/302257701305?...84.m1558.l2649

A friend of mine (from Holland) is a collector who focuses at the Rotterdam bombing and I would like to purchase these for him, if they were indeed taken in Rotterdam. Could anyone positively identify the city in ruins as Rotterdam?
A clue could be in the photo showing a destroyed tram with a sign Van Nelle...

    Thank you!
    Peter

    Hi Peter,

It is Rotterdam. One of the photos shows "Hotel Café Marconi" Marconiplein. Marconiplein still exists today.

Top photo: Café Marconi on the right side.

if members can avoid bidding on the album it could be great for Peter.
