Does anyone recognize where this military review took place?

Looks like the Berlin Dom in the background.

I don't think so, Gran...I believe the Berliner Dom has four smaller domed towers, one on each corner of the building, but this building seems to have only one central dome.

Maybe it's a photographic illusion...or my poor memory...!?

I thought of that, too, Gran, but I can't picture in my mind where on Museum Island such a military review would have taken place...?? As I understand the architecture, there isn't any open area where this review could have taken place in relationship to the City Palace??

This state reception may be during a visit of Bulgarian Prime Minister Georgi Kyoseivanov dated on a 5.7.1939 in Berlin.

I agree that it's the Bulgarian PM and also that Gran Sasso has hit the location right on the dot! Great work all round!

                        Cheers,
