Press photos? Hitler, field marshal, Weapons pile, olympics

Found these while at the SOS. Was in a guys RV in the parking lot. A coin collector got these with an estate. I purchased them after seeing the content but I found some interesting markings. Would like to know anything that I can about them. I'm normally a k98k collector.

This first one, of the Olympic torch lighting.

This one is a capture pile of weapons in Poland. This one has an ink stamp that says Hollywood Press Syndicate.....

And finally Hitler, and other top guys, Field Marshal Werner Von Blomberg (I think), and an Admiral or captain? Another ink stamp visible and one from Atlantic Photo Ges GmbH under the paper.

    Hi,

yes, press photos, i may add that those are US photos, and strangely of very good quality.

The "Horst Wessel" is... still alive and well as "USCGC Eagle" :

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USCGC_Eagle_(WIX-327)

More than 80 years afloat !

The visit of Hitler in Hamburg is dated of June 13, 1936.

    See You

Siegfried was choosen for his Aryan appearance, and was not part of the German Olympic team...

Great photos, friends! Here are a few notes:

        * A better reference link for the history of the US Coast Guard training ship "Eagle," formerly the 'Horst Wessel," may be found at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USCGC_Eagle_(WIX-327)

        * The photos taken at the beginning of the 1936 Olympic Games found at notes 1 #1 and 3 #1 were taken at the Lustgarten in Berlin

        * In the photo in note 1 #6: to Hitler's immediate right is Generalfeldmarschall Werner von Blomberg, Reichsminister of War and CinC of the German Armed Forces; to Blomberg's right is Generaladmiral Erich Raeder, CinC of the Naval High Command.

        Great photos all!

Hmmmmm... Somehow this link -- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USCGC_Eagle_(WIX-327) -- doesn't get you to where the information is. Try Googling "Horst Wessel training ship"

          Apologies,

Thanks guys. I found them interesting. They aren't for sale but are they rarer at all and what might they be worth?

Something more interesting on the Hitler photo. Behind the description, there is a large ink stamp, "Atlantic Photo-Ges GmbH,
            Berlin"
I think**** the labels cover the same stamp on each photo but only the hitler photo tag is unglued on one corner. So I think that makes that photo German.

              Hi,

the first link a gave for the Eagle is the good one, but the WAF doesn't take the ")" at the end of the link.
The solution is to add a "_" at the end. ^_^
