i don't know if other "Lorenz" were SS-Gruppenführer in 1938, but at least Werner Lorenz was SS-Obergruppenführer starting from November 9, 1936...

Sorry, but this is wrong. In the SS-DAL 1 December 1938, there were 16 SS-Obergruppenführer!

There was no other Lorenz of similar rank.

Hi Max -- long time no hear from you! What I meant to say was that of the OGFs listed in 1938, the only 'Lorenz' there was WERNER. Obviously I should have been clearer in my use of language!
