With the end of WWI this part of Hungary became a part of Romania, years later again part of Hungary. After WWI the surviving members of the family went to Austria.
Gerhard ZIKELI, born in 1924 in Siebenbürgen, became a member of the Waffen-SS in 1942/1943 with the 8. SS-Kavallerie-Division "Florian Geyer" (SS-Reiter Regiment 1) and has been missing in action since 05. October 1944 near Ant beside the Romanian-Hungarina frontier.
