    Agfa-Portriga-Rapid Paper

    Hello,

Does anyone know if this paper was made pre-1945? I am not familiar with it and have not been able to find anything conclusive online.

A fellow forum member, Jarek, is holding this portrait for me until we are able to determine. I have told him I will buy the portrait if it's proven to be possible that the print was made pre-1945.

    Many Thanks,
    John

      Portrait is a popular reproduction...!!

Take a look at the left upper corner,
      typical mistake for these portraits.

Thank you for your comments. I have also confirmed from another collector that this paper was only used postwar.

Can you clarify - what I am supposed to see in the upper left?

        Regards.

Fantastic - thank you for posting the additional portraits. I have never seen this before. Very interesting and strange to see the same anomaly on different portraits as well.

Do you have a theory as to the cause?

I have collected portraits on/off for the last 20 years, however my main focus is award documents. Most the of the portraits in my collection have been part of the award document group, some direct from the family.

                  Thank you again.
