    Some german wartime photos.

Bought some photos recently. I am not a photo collector, but some speak to me, and I keep them. These I thought were some neat ones. Mix of fronts and branches. I like ones showing rifles and vehicles. If anyone can translate the writing, that would be cool.

Rack of k98k on the front of a halftrack maybe?

    Bright new looking M35 helmets.

Rifles stacked, and lefette and some mg barrel carriers.

Rifles, all early by the looks of it.

Knocked out T34, nasty looking hole in the side.

Street of a town, can someone read the reverse? Must be fresh after the action, dead horse still coupled to the wagon behind the bike.

    reverse of above.

Another knocked out Soviet tank. Dated 1941, prehaps someones first taste of the T34s

    Reverse of above

A very recognizable feature of Cologne

Motorcycles with k98k front and centre

Everyone at attention, motorcade of fancy cars, someone important in the black car????

Really riding shotgun, russia i think

    Artillery gun.

Reverse of above if anyone can translate.

    Artillery gun ready for action

    Sowjet pows

Some nice photos there AR. The halftrack with the rifles on the fender appears to be a SdKfz 10/4 which had a 20mm mounted on the back. And the second image of a knocked out Soviet tank is actually one of the BT series, not a T34.

SdKfz 10/4 is the official designation for this type of one-tonne halftrack with a demountable 20mm anti-aircraft gun on the back. I cannot, however, see the rack of K98s, probably just my eyes this late in the evening,

My apologies, it was not only my eyes, my memory also failed me. The rifles of the crew were indeed held in racks on the front mudguards, as here. Note also the ramps for dismounting the gun suspended in front of the bumper.
