If you have seen the film Der Untergang, Burgdorf is one of the generals, that commits suicide at the end.

And, of course, Burgdorf was also the general who, along with Gen. Maisel, visited Rommel on October 14, 1944, and explained to Rommel why he had to commit suicide, and provided the poison.
