Indentifying a PLM Winner and Various Unusual Photos

Gentlemen,

Here is a photo of a PLM winner that I also ran in the Imperial section. A wonderful photo I look forward to finding out more about.

Note the Austrian pilot's badge, Finnish, Commemorative Flyer's badge, medal bar -- just a wonderful photo.

Luftschutz

Nothing particularly special about this photo -- but nevertheless interesting to see. This Luftschutz officer is more well turned out that what you normally see -- most of the photos in the books show them a bit more disheveled. I wish we could make out the collar tabs so the branch could be determined.

What branch?

Now, I cannot remember what service branch this man is in -- but what is unusual about it is the Luftwaffe eagle. Any ideas?

An older man dressed up ...

Well, this one is quite interesting. Luftwaffe uniform, officer rank, some WWI awards (I cannot make out the ones on the upper part of the pocket) but what looks like a Naval dagger.

Also, no officer cord on the visor hat -- and the cockade looks metal. Quite a combination.

Nice pictures...were they purchased recently??

As for the PLM winner, I wish I hgad my Sanke albums here identification would be easy. The belwo site has a listing of all the WWI german aces along with a picture. I dont have time right now but perhaps a comparison can be made. It should not be that many people since not all of the aces had the PLM. You can eliminate all of the dead aces, and the Bavarian aces. Hope it helps a little.

Can you provide a bigger picture of the awards on the Luft officer with the Navy dagger?

could be wrong but i think the guy in the third photo is to do with air sea rescue ??? and the last guy looks possible air ship (zepplin`s)

Nice pictures Mike. What about the tie this older man is wearing ? Seems to me like a civil one. Also, which awards are from WWI, the Iron Cross and the Wound Badge ? If it is the case,was it usual to put the WWI awards on a lower position compared to the WWII ones ? Sorry for the many questions.

Awards

Here is a closeup of the man's awards. Definitely WWI EK1 and wound badge. The awards that are in a higher position on the pocket are unknown to me. The lower badge has three airplanes or gliders on it, so aviation related. The upper is unknown to me. Help, guys!
