    Interesting Studio Postcard

Found this one currently up for auciton. Looks to be a well donged late-war pic of an FJ, and former HJ re-assigned back to the HJ as an instructor or combat leader. Also appears to be a metal Gebirgsjäger or Jäger badge on the side of the cap. An interesting combination of awards and insignia.

No, he was still an active para (and holder of the german cross), only preferred to wear his "old" HJ uniform for the wedding day in 1945.

Thank you for the additional information. How did you know he was awarded the DKiG and that he was married May, 1945? Was the photo from a document group, or other photos of him?

I have seen photos of decorations (mix of wartime and 57ers) attributed to this DKiGträger..

        I can't remember his name..

        Can you tell us Patrick?
