    KL Buchenwald Document

    Hello
    How does this look? Original?
    Thanks

This certifies ration / reward for work detail at the camp, hand signed by the inmate. The named individual is not listed within the death registry of either KL-Buchenwald or KL-Mittelbau-Dora, which was initially a satellite of Buchenwald, so the man in question may well have been transported to another camp later, or, survived his incarceration.

Thank you for the help. Sadly he is listed on the German Memorial site as having died on June 23rd 1940 at Buchenwald. That would be less than two months after this document was completed. Here is a link to the site, as well as a summery of what is listed about him.

Good that you bothered to try and at least find the fate of the individual...many do not...unfortunately...

I was happy to pick up an original document, but it saddens me to think he signed this item just before his 37th birthday, and just before he died at Buchenwald..
