    Hi Michael,

I think its a German 240mm rail gun.

I agree with Remco that the cannon pictured in the top five photos is the 240mm rail gun, but the cannon in the bottom photo is a different gun, IMO. Not sure what it is...

I'm not 100% sure, but I think the bottom image is actually an electric locomotive, hence the system of wires/cables running directly over the tracks.

IMO, both the guns shown in the photos above, are French, not German rail guns.

I've attached a photo of a French rail gun for comparison.

Here's a German rail gun. Known as the Krupp K5. Believe it or not, Krupp built over 25 of these 240mm guns during the war! This one in particular is the famous "Anzio Annie". It now resides at the US Army Ordinance Museum in MD.

Notice the German gun doesn't have the jack pads, and the barrel is necked down in size as it gets to the muzzle end. The cart also has 6 wheels, not 5 as the French one shown.

Your photos could be showing a "captured" French gun that was later used by the Germans? Is the man sitting on the gun in the last photo wearing a German uniform?
