Letter from the American Chamber of Commerce in Berlin

Well really, it is only the envelope... I found this a few years ago in an antique store. Unfortunately the letter was missing, but I still found this interesting. It's nothing too special but figured after all these years I might as well post it for whatever it is worth.

Wow very cool and opened for censorship reading and taped shut with their seal... (OKW...+ B for Berlin I assume)
Obviously this did not go through the Diplomatic pouch (Embassy courier)/
Too bad somebody removed the US postage stamps...

Nice piece of history with a fascinating date. I've always found early 1941 interesting as a kind of 'crossroads' in history, where so many things could have happened with different decisions taken. Hitler was probably at his most powerful and confident, no USA or USSR to fight, even the battleship Bismarck still afloat as a symbol of maritime power.

          Thanks for showing it!
