Hi,

These two documents and medals are up for sale locally and while low grade awards, the price is ok.

Do these documents look good, I'm not concerned about the medals?

I notice he's a Gefreiter in Septmber 1943, yet an Obergefeiter in May 1943, how could that be? Has someone hand written in th "O" on the Eastern Front document?

They look ok. The date of the Ost doc is backdated - it's the date the unit was made eligible for the award. So, the ranks are fine.

I've discovered that the stamps relate to the 346 Infantry Division and both signatures are original, not facsimilies.

That makes the KVK document signed by Generalleutnant Edrich Diestel as he was the Commander from 20 September 1942 - 16 October 1944.
