    Anyone out there who knows what unit these "Marder's" belonged too?

      Those are some fantastic photos! I have no idea what unit they're from...do you see any markings in the photo's? Use a jewelers loupe...they work well!

          Chris: tried all this myself! No cufftitles, only "normal" Sig-runes, no special markings on the "Marders"...
          Many rings in the gun-barrels! And no names or labels on the clothes drying on the gun-barrels...

                We know the unit isn't Totenkopf. LAH used more advanced Marder IIIs, with the rear engine and the gun moved forward. Wiking used earlier Marder IIs, not the 38(t) based Marder III.

                Das Reich was known to use early-style Marder IIIs with the rear-mounted gun, as here. So, I concur with the Das Reich assessment.

                    other photos from this ceremony (first post) are very famous. And officer in helmet is future GCiG holder SS-Ustuf. Claudius Rupp, Zugführer in 3 Kp./SS-Panzerjäger-Abteilung 2
