    Photo markings

    Gentlemen,

I have several early East German Police photos from the 1950s with rubber stamp marking that I cannot decipher. For instance one marked "Foto-Feldt II/18/11" and another marked "Foto-Pohl IV/28/11" on the backside. Obviously the photos were made by Feldt and Pohl but the numbers throw me. Are they date codes? Anyone know what the numbers mean?

    Hello,
These are just numbers used by the photo studios, to be sure that groups of photos don't get mixed I guess. These codes have no value for collectors.

Thanks for the information Tim. Since some DDR date codes included Roman numerals for quarters I was not certain on these.
