Army General to identify...... A question for Jaime !!

Hi all, Hi jaime !

Here are two orig. Pics from my Collection, probably taken 1938. Not sure. Can you identify this General, and perhaps the Colonel at his Side, which was probably promoted to general later in the War ?

I'm awful at recognising faces but I am going to take a punt and say that the Oberst might be Alexander von Hartmann, posthumously promoted to General der Infanterie after being killed at Stalingrad, and Commander of IR-37 in 1938.

The General is Johannes Friessner.

I think the photo was taken 1940 or 1941. Here you have some extra info about Friessner:

- Am 26.08.1939 wurde er Inspekteur des Erziehungs- und Bildungswesens.

- Am 1. August 1940 wurde er zum Generalmajor befördert.

Sorry, mate, but he is not von Hartmann.

THank you Guys for your Efforts ! . These Pics were taken at the Kriegsschule Dresden. This matches perfect with Friessner's Career, he was "Chef St.Insp.d.Kriegschulen" in 1938 !!! So he is probably inspecting the School, and The Oberst is probably the Commander of it !
