    Grouping SS Hauptscharfuehrer ?

    hi folks

i'd like to know your opinions about the photos and documents please. Are they really related ?

SS Hauptscharfuehrer is the highest rank and the man had to spend at least 6 years to get there, how could he be Haupts when he got in the SS in 1940 ?

The Kleiderkarte is interesting but something is bothering me...in this rank they did'nt have any Karte like this right ? they were given by the army.

thank you for your futur help and your german knowledge !

An enlisted man who became an NCO received Unterscharführer rank. He might then become an officer candidate, but it not, would eventually be promoted to Oberscharführer. If it was decided once and for all that he wasn't officer material, his next promotion would be to Hauptscharführer, which meant he was a senior NCO (a few received one more promotion, to Sturmscharführer).

Promotions were accelerated in wartime, and a junior officer in 1940 could be commanding a regiment in 1944.

Every German person, even babies, had to use these ration cards for civil clothes. Military persons

had to wear uniform which was given by the army.

Have a look on the back side of the ration card. There has to be given a date/month/year

(period of validity). A soldier in the army should not have ration cards.

Ok here is the picture. Dates are between 43 and 1944.
Like you said soldier in the army should not have ration cards.

So....this ss officer was wounded or out of the army by the end of the war..........or these documents have nothing to do with him ?

Don t hesitate to participate. Thx guys.
