What is the value on this recruiting poster ??

Measures 18 inches by 25 1/2 inches (frame).... Professionally matted and framed with acid free paper....

Poster

Mark- A old Meehan military poster catalog from the mid-90's listed that poster at $385. Given that was almost 10 years ago and is framed (hopefully on acid free linen) I think you can get $500-600 plus for it now maybe more. Get Meehan's web site and call them for current pricing..I think they are in NY. I used to deal with them for US stuff all the time. I hope that helps. Dirk.

I don't know the ettiquete here, but if that should go up for sale, I would be interested. I think posters are really neat, especially those that depict such artistic elements such as the chiseled facial features on that soldier.

To be honest mravery, you shouldn't sell this poster.
These kind of things are very rare and valuable, you should be able to find a spot somewhere?

Well.. I checked Meehan's site... and they don't have this poster... but they do have about 6 or 7...... seems to be the average price is about $1500 (when you throw out the $5700 SS poster)....

Mark...yes they are high end but she (I think a women runs the site) does find the goods. You got a nice poster there don't let it go cheaply. Dirk

Man that's a beauty! I love the posters as well. I don't think the true value of these posters has yet been realized. These would have been the easiest thing for the average allied soldier to destroy on his way through. I'm sure that since the war ended and even to this day, when they are discovered, these are still being destroyed by the uneducated. So fragile, but so well done. I'd hold on to it if I could. Impressive!
